About Sea-m

We’re a brand born by the sea, backed by a tribe of women, stitched with sunlight, and designed for off-duty days, office days and everything in between.

We make pieces that look effortlessly put-together, even when you’re not. Every garment is crafted from 100% linen - breathable, beautiful, and designed to move with you, not against you. Think flattering cuts, easy silhouettes, and colours borrowed from summer skies and ice cream shops. We’re not led by trends but instead, by you. No gimmicks. No fuss. Just forever kind of linen that fits into your life, and wardrobe, all year round. Light enough for balmy days, layerable enough for in-between weather, and charmingly off-centre in all the right ways.

But let’s be clear: we’re not your average linen brand. We’re not here for bland neutrals, beige philosophies, or clothes that whisper instead of speak. We believe in British charm, a little chaos, and clothes that feel like a seaside holiday for your wardrobe.

Our ethos lies in being honest, being human and being curious, and above all, being anything but ordinary. We believe in transparency - you’ll know what goes into your clothes and where they come from. We believe in doing things properly - with integrity, purpose, and a bit of humour along the way.

About the founder

sea-m started with one (or perhaps every) woman’s very real problem: shorts that simply didn’t fit. (Yes, she has hips. And a bum. And no, beige wasn't cutting it.) Kate had always loved linen - the effortless drape, the lightweight feel - but was tired of the same old palette: white, black, repeat. Where was the colour? The tailoring? The kind of pieces that felt relaxed and refined, in sunny shades and flattering shapes.

After 20 years in the design, editorial and advertising world - shaping the look and feel of fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands - Kate decided it was time to do her own thing. Enter: sea-m. A sunshine-soaked collection of thoughtfully tailored, endlessly wearable linen pieces in tones that turn heads and moods.

Inspired by years living between the shores of her beloved Abersoch and more recently Hampshire, Kate's life by the sea - and on the road - has informed every stitch. From sailing escapes with her family and road trips with girlfriends, to daily dog walks with Cilla and Dusty, every experience has inspired the fit, silhouette, design and colour palette of her pieces.

And yes, sustainability runs through it all. These are slow-made, forever kind of pieces designed to age well, wear better, and make getting dressed feel just that little bit more fun.
